  • What are your infrastructure and priorities as well as delivered projects for Keppel’s roads?

    I am proud to say that I have delivered 122-million-dollar upgrade to Yeppoon-Rocky Road and a 20-million-dollar upgrade to Emu Park-Rocky Road as well as $21 million dollars towards the Emu Park overtaking lanes. Not only does this benefit our community but also the economy, sparking 1,290 jobs in the process. Since 2015, an outstanding $810 million dollars have been put towards road upgrades and we will continue to keep delivering for Queenslanders.

  • What are your priorities and plans as well as delivered projects for health care in the Keppel region?

    I am very pleased to say over the last 9 years, I have worked to deliver better health care services for our region. Employing over 100 additional doctors and over 400 additional nurses in our central QLD Hospitals, we are focused on restoring the health care system and making sure every Queenslander has access to safe and proper health care. Our recent promise for a Satellite Hospital will help take pressure off our health care system and make it easier for everyone to get quick and appropriate care.

  • What is your vision for reviving tourism on Great Keppel Island? What infrastructure and plans would you like to see go ahead?

    After years of planning and consultation the infrastructure needed to rejuvenate Great Keppel Island starts now. The Great Keppel Island (Woppa) Masterplan will soon begin works after the recent committed funding. This plan promises a gateway precinct, boardwalks, walking tracks and wayfinding signage as well as building amenities and wastewater treatments. Building amenities and wastewater treatment is going to set Great Keppel Island up for the future. These plans will bring tourism to our region as well as jobs for locals, supporting our community. A rejuvenated Great Keppel Island will attract visitors from across the globe who will experience all the magnificent Capricorn Coast has to offer.

    • 42 bed Rehabilitation Centres
    • 482 extra nurses
    • 118 extra teaches

    • 67 extra ambulance officers
    • 28 extra police officers in Central Queenslanders
    • 14 new social housing units at Taranganba
    • $10 million Renal Dialysis unit at Capricorn Coast Hospital
