Welcome to the world of Keppel

Welcome to our wonderful part of the world; the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Keppel is a Queensland electorate encompassing 4,000km2 including the bustling North Rockhampton, the beautiful Capricorn Coast and all of the forests, farmlands and townships in between.

The Traditional Owners of Keppel are the Darumbal People and the Woppaburra People. We pay respects to the Traditional Owners of Keppel and acknowledge their elders past and present.

Keppel is home to Rockhampton, the Beef Capital of Australia; the Southern Great Barrier Reef; multiple National Parks and the second largest catchment on the eastern seaboard – the Fitzroy River.

Brittany Lauga MP has proudly been Keppel’s representative in the Queensland Parliament since 2015.
